The property had a good sized garden, but it was not accessible from the main living area.  The new lounge was given direct access to the garden through wide patio doors, which provided a lovely view of flower borders and bird activity.  Easy access to two sitting areas was created, according to whether you want sun or shade.

This space was created by knocking together two former bedrooms.  It is open to the lounge at a lower level, separated by a low level glass balustrade.  Changes to the overall layout enabled us to retain three double bedrooms, plus the addition of an en suite to the master bedroom.

FRONT ELEVATION

The property previously had no kerb appeal.  An unsightly double garage faced the road, and the “front” door was actually at the rear of the bungalow.  The garage was replaced by a new lounge with 4.5 metre high vaulted ceiling, and a new entrance porch was created with access from the front parking area.  The windows on this elevation add visual interest.
